There are so many peaks and valleys to this cancer thing and today was definitely a low point. Lauren and Armando both woke up vomiting and with fevers. Armando’s body was able to bounce back as he attended a softball game and had a fun day. Unfortunately, Lauren’s body is much more fragile. We spent our afternoon in the emergency room at Yale getting blood tests and hydration. Luckily, her counts were high enough to not stay in the hospital overnight and she gets to sleep at home. We head back to the clinical tomorrow where she will get some more antibiotics and fluids. The picture below shows Lauren with the assist… She is getting good at throwing gold fish into my mouth and she’s setting good at catching with hers! It’s a good way to pass the time in the boring ER. Thoughts and prayers are especially welcomed today. Love you all!
